Thou Crusty Batch of Nature

FRIEND.

It's been awhile, or so it seems.

My dad finally took me to London with him over Easter and it was the most incredible experience.  I loved all of it.  It was a jam packed three days, I wish we could have stayed longer because it is such an awesome city (except for everybody farting on the underground).  Time for a picture dump! (I'm really awkward in all of these okay don't judge me)

We started the first day off by going to Tower of London.  It was pretty sweet as we wound our way through all sorts of rooms showing off everything from where they kept prisoners to where they showed off the crown jewels.  On the way to see the crown jewels, we had to stand in a very butch line in which we were forced to watch dramatic videos of the history of the jewels on loop.  Worth it!  It was glorious.  By the size of the jewels, it seems you would need to have the neck of Arnold Schwarzenegger to keep those things on your head for long.

Tower Bridge!

The next day we visited St. Paul's Cathedral.  (My dad kept thinking it was St. Peter's or St. Patrick's)
We took this spiral staircase up a billion steps and ended up in this dome.

We decided to keep going up!  After a gruesome workout we ended up on this outer balcony.

Did you guys watch Doctor Who?  That triangle building is the one he rides his anti-gravity motorcycle up and crashes through, thus saving the planet once again.

We also walked around Picadilly Circus.

It's a lot like Times Square in New York except NY doesn't have this really awesome street performer.

On Saturday my dad surprised me with The Beatles Let It Be show!  It was pretty sweet.  My dad was complaining that the lady sitting next to him had the worst voice ever and I just responded by laughing at the entire situation he was in.

Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band!

Aww yeah Big Ben.  There she is- Yeah my dad referred to it as female.

Parliament!  Looking as classy as ever.

Here is me being awkward in front of Buckingham Palace on Saturday night.

Kensington Park

Some Peter Pan statue.  My dad told me to go be awkward so I did.

We walked through the park to get to Buckingham Palace again on Sunday morning to see the changing of the guard but my dad's watch was an hour off so we totally missed it.  Honey Badger don't care.  (Just kidding, dad you better take me again so I can see this!)

This is how I spent Easter 2013! At the GLOBE THEATRE.  Super stoked about it.

Annette was our guide.  I don't think I've ever met anyone more spunky than Annette.

Zodiac on the ceiling.

Thou smell of a mountain goat

The stage was set up for Romeo and Juliet.

I may be mistaken, but I think this might possibly be the bridge the Death Eaters from Harry Potter blow up?  I dunno, but I guess they fixed it because I seemed to be able to ross it no problem.

Westminster Abbey is really awesome. Too bad we missed going inside it.  (Again- dad you are just going to have to take me again to see all the things we missed this time).

We finished off Easter night by going to some pub and I got fish n' chips.

Cheers!

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Bonus picture of my dad and I being awkward on top of St. Patrick's.... I mean St. Paul's Cathedral!

Phantom of the Pow Pow

As you may or may not know, I am one classy mofo when it comes to snowboarding.  I'm seriously getting some great use out of my ski pass this year.  Snowbird is where it's at! Woot Woot!  I finally have some snowboarding pictures that I want to share with you.

This right here is called Rope-a-dope.  You have to board to this little area that has a rope tied to a tree and you have to lower yourself down over the rocks so you don't die and then you are good to go.  It seems really hard core.  Believe it.  This was our warm up run.  It just got crazier from there on out.

Next, we went to a secret spot.  This is what it looks like. Suuuuuuuper steep.  I hit my knee on a rock up at the top and when I looked at it, I pretty much had bubonic plague.  Good times.

Okay, don't ask me what is with my arm being up like that all the time.  Come close to it and I'll give you a high-five.  Spock knows.

Next we went on Tiger's tail.  It was insane.  We had to go on this little traverse trail and it took us a really long time to do.  I think I am the little speck on the right.  If you look really close, you can see my  all black ski jumpsuit.  I feel much better about my ensemble after I watched Shaun White at the 2013 X-Games when he broke the height record on the superpipe.  He went 24 feet into the air, breaking the record and being a total rockstar.

Weeeee!

I took my board in today to be waxed.  I just know it's going to be a dream come true the next time I get to ride on it.  Gotta work on that goggle tan.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

.Horses sad

Wowee!
My best rainbro for life, Spock, bought me the most dysfunctional sweater!

Just try to read that backwards.  It doesn't even make sense the correct way.  It's beautiful.  I wore it to school for the first time today and only one person asked me, "What does your shirt say?" Immediately I replied with "INCREDIBLE THINGS."  And left it at that.  It is an English major's worst nightmare and yet, I am really embracing it.  I tried to tell my coworker what it said, but it doesn't make any sense at all if you don't see it written down.

If you are still struggling with trying to read what it says, don't you fret any longer, for it says:

were all sad
in this weard
world. horses

I know, I know! A dream come true.  The perfect article of clothing to keep me warm this frigid winter.  The perfect piece to pull the ensemb together.  I'm a model, you know what I mean?

So long and thanks for all the fish!

And a special extra thanks to Spock!

Yes, I Am Going to Marry A Carrot.

It's been a long while since I've written a legit post.

I officially signed up for a half marathon in the end of April and yesterday, instead of running I definitely ate ice cream instead.

So that's cool.

This race is going to destroy me.

Now that I am signed up for it though, hopefully I'll  kick my butt into shape and start to get ready for it this week.  It seems far off, and yet it feels like it's going to be next weekend.  Hopefully when the day arrives, I'll be able to attack it like Homer Simpson attacking a donut.  Wish me all the best!

So long and thanks for all the fish!
