All Dogs Go To Heaven
This post is a shout out to Robert!
As if people don't already like my dog Charlie enough, here is a post to push you over the edge.
I really like to sit on the floor with my back against our fridge, and for some reason every time Charlie sees that I am there he will instantly come and sit on my right side. He is such a pumpkin.
Also, he reeeeeeaaaaaally loves attention. After a gnarly run through a blizzard, I decided to do this restorative yoga pose and sure enough- Charlie was there to crash the party.
He was totally curled around my head. But just look at that face!
That's all i really wanted to post today.
So long and thanks for all the fish!

Cake, Cake, Unicorn, Woman, Shoe.
As of Thursday I am now 21. What. I am still a 12 year old at heart. I don't know about this growing-up thing.
Exactly. This picture says it all.
Anyway, for my special day I decided to go eat at Settebello. It is this fabulous little Italian place that pretty much just has pizza and a few weird appetizer salads. It's all delicious though. Scarfed it down and that's when I truly felt like a big kid. After dinner, we went back home and ate cake (more on the cake in a moment) and opened gift. Yes, 'gift' is singular. One gift. But I can tell you that it was one of the best gifts in the world. My siblings pulled together and bought me a SICK snowboarding helmet. It has speakers in it so I can jam out while shredding the mountain! Woo! It came with a backcountry sticker and I truly felt legit. I can't wait to hit the slopes- SNOWBIRD OPENS ON FRIDAY. I also combined my birthday money to buy myself a pair of purple snowboarding pants. I'm going to look so hip in all my new gear.
Okay, now for the cake. Scott and I attempted to make this red velvet cake and the whole process was hilarious. The recipe for red velvet has to be EXACT and with our baking skills combined, you can best believe we screwed a lot of things up. With the mess in the kitchen plus everything covered in red food dye, it was a murder scene in there. BUT, when the cake came out it tasted way good. Scott crushed up pistachios and sprinkled them on top and it was insane.
Also, my mom bought a million balloons and tied them to the chairs and I felt like I was going to float away like Mrs. Twit when I sat down.
So you know how when people sing Happy Birthday, the birthday person is just sitting there uncomfortable and super awkward because they have no idea what to do or how to react while being sung to? Well.... my family was singing Happy Birthday so slowly that I got bored and started picking my nose. Found some gold. It was good day.

Swish You To A Swazzle
One day after the Halloween 10K, there was family night at my house. My mom came to me about two weeks earlier and asked if Spock and I would do the lesson. While I was hating the idea at first, Spock immediately wanted to when I proposed it to her. We wanted to do something Halloween themed but we just didn't know what to do. Finally, we came up with the idea of reading from one of my favourite Roald Dahl books, The Twits, while she drew scenes from it. It turned out really well and I think my family was all into it.
This is Mr. Twit. He's really gruffy and has a rank beard with bits of sardine stuck in it. Mrs. Twit is pretty nast herself. They hate each other so they play all these tricks on one another. First, Mrs. Twit puts her glass eye in Mr. Twit's beer and grosses him out.
To pay her back, Mr. Twit finds a slimy frog and puts it in her bed one night, telling her that it's a giant skillywiggler that will bite her toes off. She faints.
After that little charade, Mrs. Twit digs up lots of worms and puts them in her husband's spaghetti and doesn't tell him that he ate them until after his plate is cleared. He hates this.
So he figures that he'll take Mrs. Twit's cane ever night and add a tiny piece of wood to the end of it and it slowly becomes longer and longer without her noticing it. Finally he points out that the cane is up to her elbow and that she is shrinking. She believes him of course, and the only way to stop The Dreaded Shrinks is to be stretched. She will do whatever it takes to live and so they go outside and Mr. Twit ties her to an iron ring in the ground and attaches balloons all over her to pull her up. He then cuts the string that is holding her to the ground and Mrs. Twit goes ballooning up. Once she is up in the air, she's like "oh... if i just bite through some of these strings then I will come back down!" And that is exactly what she does.
She's pissed.
She crashes right on top of Mr. Twit. And it is the funniest thing in the world.
That's the first half of the book, so if you haven't read the whole story then you should definitely get on that, because in the end, the Twits get what they deserve!
Way to go Chantilly Lace for being so pro at drawing.

I lit a wee fire... *In a boat?* [explosion]
I know, I know. Don't be hatin. I know I haven't written in awhile but I am here to update you all! There are lots of things that have happened to me recently. Spock and I ran a Halloween 10K, then Spock helped out at my family night and drew some stuff, and finally it was my birthday. Be prepared for an incoming of news and pictures!
Let me first start off by talking about this 10k that we ran. It was out in Herriman, UT.. wherever that is, but it was still pretty chill. There was a 5K and a 10K option, but being the hardcore runners that we are, Spock and I chose to run 10K. The first half of it wasn't so bad, but the 10K course was just running the 5K course twice. So by the second time through it was a little rough. No matter, we still both ran pretty much all of it. So that was super exciting. One step closer to a half marathon? I sure hope so. Also, because this was a Halloween run, we just had to dress up of course! Spock was TinTin and I was Captain Haddock and hardly anybody knew who we were. But that's alright, we still killed it. Blistering Blue Barnacles. I know that I came in over an hour, which seams reasonable since I run a 5K in just over a half hour. But I still don't know my exact time and place. Whatever. Have some pictures!
Maybe next year, if Spock isn't on her mission by then, we will run the Provo Halloween Half Marathon. How spooky.
If you are wondering about how to achieve a TinTin coiffe, you must first invent the universe. Also note, that it is pretty much rock solid once you get it to that state. It could poke a whole through the Great Wall of China, probably. Use cautiously.

How's your thirst for adventure, Captain?
Last night I picked up a little book called Wreck This Journal. My sister originally bought the book and I loved it so much that I had to get one myself.
It tells you something random to do to the journal on every page, such as:
PRESS LEAVES AND OTHER FOUND THINGS.
SCRIBBLE WILDLY, VIOLENTLY WITH RECKLESS ABANDON.
COLLECT THE STAMPS OFF ALL YOUR MAIL.
DRAW LINES USING ABNORMAL WRITING UTENSILS DIPPED IN INK OR PAINT
(STICKS, SPOON, TWIST TIES, COMB, ETC.)
DRAW LINES WITH YOUR PEN OR PENCIL- LICK YOUR FINGER AND SMEAR THE LINES.
Today, I bring to you one little project from it:
My thirst for adventure is unquenchable.
Tune in next time to join me in freezing one of the pages!

Sweet, sweet ukulele.
Hey friends. It's been a while and you deserve a koala tea post. In August I went to California with the family. We went to the beach for a couple of days and then to this little baby town called Clovis where my grandparents and aunt and uncle live. My cousin was getting married so we went down for the festivities. First we hit the beach. Our hotel was so out of control. It was this little hole in the wall and had some issues. There were three paintings on the wall- all of the same picture. The light in our bathroom took a minute or two to warm up and flickered on. When we first went into the restroom, we found that our toilet wasn't even hooked up. The closet had mismatching knobs. It was just all around out of control. One of the funniest things to me, which wasn't part of our bizarro hotel, was that my dad brought this tanning lotion that said 30% off which to him.. he saw the 30, and thought it was the spf. Buuuuuuut nope. It actually had 4 spf. Four. I was dying. Anyway... we hit up the beach for two days, once at Long Beach and then at Huntington. I got some quality skim boarding time and the Larsen family got burnt to a crisp.
Wow, after being buried in the sand, I left so much sand in our dysfunctional bathroom. I didn't really know what to do with it, so I just kind of kicked it over to the side of the wall. What was I supposed to do? A third of it went down the drain. The other two thirds was on the bathroom floor..
This was the coldest water, but we don't care.
The new stars of Baywatch.
This was at the wedding. Going down the line..
Me, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Brent, Uncle Doug.
Those ladies standing at the end.. yeah, I don't know who they are.
Look at us lovely ladies!
My uncle and I had a jam session on our ukuleles. We played "We Thank Thee O God For A Prophet" and then we played "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree"
We put on a little concert for the family the final night that we were there. My uncle has a super sick bass ukulele and i've got a soprano. We make beautiful music together. It might just turn into something big. Be prepared, we'll probably make it big someday.
Sweet, sweet ukulele.

Charles Barkley
So I just took this video.
It is a video of Charlie barking in my face and then attempting to nuzzle me.
I wish you could have seen Charlie when i played back this video for him. It was just my dog barking at this video dog non stop for 17 seconds. D O G C E P T I O N. That's all I really wanted to post. Hopefully I'll make an awesome blog post soon with lots more writing than what's been happening lately.

To the Batmobile.. LET'S GO
Britney got a car this week!
Slick new Honda Civic.
Pretty much like driving a spaceship. The dashboard is all high tech and digital. Makes me feel like a rockstar driving around. That is all.
Stay classy!
Bird of Paradise
It has been awhile, but hey.. here's a post.
A couple weekends ago I went up to spend a night and day at Snowbird with Spock. We watched Rifftrax Dark Knight- What doesn't kill you only makes you JOAN RIVERS. We also ate about a million Mike & Ike's (okay, maybe that was just me) and made some Magajeez (Mac & Cheese). We also hit up the hot tub and pool. While we were in the pool two unexpected guests came about to hang with us- raccoons. It was a weird sight. The next day we bought all day passes and dinked around on all the toys and rides and stuff. We went up on the tram and looked around in all the shops and did a weird quasi-zipline and a weird quasi-ropes course and alpine slide and trampolines!
THUNDERING TYPHOON
It is so pretty up there in the summer. We bough season passes a couple weeks ago too so we are basically going to spend all winter up there because WE CAN GO SNOWBOARDING WHENEVER WE WANT. Yeah it's really awesome. It would be even more awesome if it will snow a bunch and be an incredible winter. BRING ON THE SNOW.

Llama Festival
Wowee!
Cowabunga!
Rhombus!
At a previous time, deep in the dimensions of space I talked about the Color Festival at the Hindu Temple in Spanish Fork. Well, the people who brought you colors fest also bring to the public LLAMA FEST: 17th Annual. This year I hit it up along side my other half- Spock and one of the coolest people ever- Chuckles. Dream Team. At this Llama Fest, you get to hang around some of the sassiest llamas in the world. But don't worry, there are happy llamas too. Hopefully you get a llama who is content with life because YOU GET TO RACE THEM. But not actually ride them, as most people believe, you just lead them around and kind of drag them at times. They also have a llama obstacle course, unfortunately we did not get to participate in this, but even so- the night was magical.
I love llamas too much for my own good.
Spock is looking so hip in her v-neck next to the llama called Atma.
This was the sassiest llama of all, that's why it's behind the fence.
I don't remember this llama's name, but it had attitude and that's all i do remember.
This was our little sweetheart called Rasika.
I don't know if you know this but llamas are a member of the camelid family and are native to South America. Their uses include showing, packing, driving, wool, pets and breeding. The llamas gestation period is 11-12 months and they rarely have twins. An adult llama can carry 60-80 pounds 8-10 miles per day. Although they do spit at each other, they seldom spit at people. llamas hum to their babies and they also have a high pitched scream which is an alarm call. They are very gentle, clean animals and a joy to raise.
Thats Rasika on the left, if you wanted to know. That's me, being eaten by sunlight on the right.. if you wanted to know.
This is adorable Chuckles.
LLAMA BUTT.
and Spock.
Britney and Rasika. Llama knows how good she looks.
This picture is presh. Spock and Chuck. I don't know if this day could have gotten any better.
OKAY SO: This was our llama race. You can see Spock and her llama coming in and Rasika and I just right behind. We had to take our llamas up around some radio tower and back and we were both doing pretty well until the home stretch when our llamas just decided to stop and we were doing everything in our power just to get them across the finish line.
Wow, yup. There I am. Trying to win the race that Rasika obviously didn't want to.
Even through the struggle Spock came in third and I came in fourth. We placed! Who could ask for more? Also, don't mind Spock's "Madam Hooch" hair. I think she recently had her hair cut and it was clearly out of control.
And it was good day.
So long and thanks for all the fish!
